  1. COED Division, ASEE – Top 4 Best Paper (2025), The paper was selected among the top four papers of the Computers in Education Division out of 93 papers.
  2. New Faculty Fellow Award (2023), IEEE ASEE Frontiers in Education (FIE)Annual Conference. This international recognition recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to engineering and computing education research and scholarship.
  3. NSTA/NARST Research Worth Reading Award (2023), “The effectiveness of an integrated STEM curriculum unit on middle school students’ life science learning,” recognized as one of the three most impactful (for science educators and practitioners) papers published in the Journal of Research in Science Teaching (JRST) in 2022.
  4. Apprentice Faculty Grant Award (2022),Educational Research and Methods (ERM) Division of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). Each year, this national award honors promising emerging engineering education researchers with the potential for outstanding scholarship.
  5. Outstanding Researcher Award (2020), School of Engineering Education, Purdue University. This award recognizes outstanding graduate student researchers at the school level.
  6. Certificate of Appreciation (2016), Center of Learning and Teaching, Forman Christian College – A Chartered University.
  7. Purdue Engineering Education Exploration Fellowship (2016), Awarded by the School of Engineering Education to support the first semester of doctoral studies.
  8. Outstanding Teacher Award (2013), Forman Christian College – A Chartered University. Each year, this award is given to one faculty member based on their outstanding performance in teaching, mentoring, living by FCC core values, and making a difference in students’ lives.
  9. Appreciation Award (2006), Himayat-i-Islam Khawateen College. This award was given once in two years to a faculty member who showed passion for teaching and excellent teamwork with colleagues.
  10. Punjab University Merit Scholarship (2001) for the second, third, and fourth semesters respectively. This GPA-based scholarship supported the Master of Science in Computer Science studies.
  11. President of Pakistan, Merit & Talent Scholarship (1999), University Grant Commission (UGC), Government of Pakistan for Bachelor of Science studies.
